What Is Community At Evergreen?

We believe spiritual growth happens best through intentional relationships, not in isolation. Our church community is built around five connected levels that move from a personal, abiding relationship with Jesus to discipleship relationships, intimate LifeGroups, Sunday School classes, and large corporate worship gatherings. Each level builds upon the one before it, providing spiritual nourishment, care, and accountability along the way. No matter where you are in your journey, these layers of community are designed to help you grow deeper in Christ and more connected to His people.

The Five Levels of Community
We organize church life around five levels of community that help people grow from personal faith into shared life with others. These levels are designed to support spiritual formation through increasing connection and engagement.
Level 1:
Personal Abiding Relationship with Jesus
A healthy community begins with abiding in Christ. This relationship is the foundation for all spiritual growth.

- Rest and preparation through prayer (Mark 135-39; Matthew 14:23).
- Facing trials with prayer (Matthew 26:36-46).
Level 2:
Discipleship Relationships
Discipleship is a calling for all believers, requiring vulnerability and intentionality to build deeper spiritual relationships.

Small groups foster deep connections, accountability, and practical growth in faith.
