Books

Questioning Evangelism
Randy Newman
"Campus ministry veteran Randy Newman has been using a questioning style of evangelism for years. In this thought-provoking book, he provides practical insights to help Christians engage others in meaningful spiritual conversations. To Newman, asking questions challenges how we think about unbelievers, their questions, and our message, instead of telling unbelievers what to think." -Amazon

The Unbelievable Gospel
Jonathan K. Dodson
"In The Unbelievable Gospel, Pastor Jonathan Dodson diagnoses the evangelistic paralysis of the modern church, pinpointing the reasons people don't share their faith today and offering a desperately needed solution. Showing readers how to utilize the rich gospel metaphors found in Scripture and how to communicate a gospel worth believing, Dodson connects the gospel to the real issues people face each day by speaking to both the head and the heart." -Amazon

Mere Christianity
C.S. Lewis
"Mere Christianity explores the core beliefs of Christianity by providing an unequaled opportunity for believers and nonbelievers alike to hear a powerful, rational case for the Christian faith." - Amazon

Tactics
Charles Colson
"The Faith is a book for our troubled times and for decades to come, for Christians and non-Christians alike. It is the most important book Chuck Colson and Harold Fickett have ever written: a thought-provoking, soul-searching, and powerful manifesto of the great, historical central truths of Christianity that have sustained believers through the centuries." - Amazon

While refuting the distortions of God presented by various cults, Dr. White shows how understanding this teaching leads to renewed worship and a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Christian." - Amazon

Conversation and Safety Recommendations
- Always stay hydrated.
- We strongly recommend that you always have a buddy with you. For practical and spiritual reasons, having a friend with you to pray, help with the conversation, or just keep an eye out is important.
- If you feel a conversation has become uncomfortable or unhelpful, politely end the conversation and move on. There is no shame in recognizing that the conversation is not going anywhere.
- If someone makes you feel unsafe for any reason, take a picture of them with your phone, and avoid that person. Then, for your own safety, send the picture to a friend or family member who knows where you are. Don't feel bad about it.
- When you go out with a group it can be helpful to determine a rally point to meet at in the event that you all get separated involuntarily or in the case of an emergency.
- Though unlikely, in the event of an extreme emergency, call 911.
