“Flawless, Impartial Judgment”
Romans 2:1-16
After outlining the brokenness of the whole world, Paul turns his attention to an imaginary listener who may be tempted to agree wholeheartedly with chapter 1 while failing to see the danger of his own self-righteousness. His message—the judgment of God falls impartially on every person. Our only hope is to be saved by a substitute!
1. Beware of judging other people arbitrarily (vv.1-3)
2. Beware of taking your place before God for granted (vv.4, 5)
3. Beware of classifying people into your own categories (vV.6-11)
4. Beware assuming that righteousness can be partial (vv.12-16)
