Phil joined the Evergreen staff in 2010 and now serves as the Associate Pastor to Legacy Adults. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from West Texas A&M University. Phil and his wife have been married since 1980 and have two adult sons. His ministry journey began when he and his twin brother were asked to lead worship at the very first Super Summer in Texas—an experience that helped launch the program in several states. As he engaged with students, he became burdened by how little many knew about the Bible, which sparked a lifelong calling to Youth Ministry. Phil went on to serve in four churches over 38 years, and has now been in ministry for 55 years. While he used to enjoy traveling, his greatest passion now is sharing the Gospel with people from all walks of life and belief systems.
