About Evergreen SHINE Ministry

Shine is about knowing that each person is made with a purpose. Our heart is that each individual would know God, experience the love of Jesus, and build community. We offer personalized care through 1:1 buddies or specialized classes for individuals with special needs so that they are fully supported and cared for within our ministry. We hope to create a supportive environment where individuals of all abilities can grow in faith and participate in church life. SHINE stands for, See How I Need Everyone.

What we do

Sunday School

With the support of 1:1 buddies, our children are included in typical classes with same aged/grade peers. We also offer a specialized class during 1st and 2nd services to meet the needs of those who need more supports during our services.

Our adults use adapted curriculum to know God and His Word. We meet each person with their own unique needs to foster inclusion and community within the group.

Wednesday Nights

Similarly to our Sunday morning activities, we hope to provide a fun and safe environment where we teach the kids about the Bible and help them grow in their relationship with the Lord. Wednesday Nights are from 6:30PM-8:00PM every week!

YAKS

YAKs (Youth of All-Abilities Kickball) is a casually structured kickball league for youth with special needs ages 7-16. Players will be paired with a buddy who is similarly aged to support, encourage, and assist where needed. Contact Jennifer below for more details.
