Reminders/Emergency Procedures

  • We must drink lots of water. It will be hot and we will be outside much of the time.
  • You must always have a buddy with you at all times when we are away from the house. Never go anywhere alone.  
  • We will communicate via the team signal group throughout the trip. You can use this to share updates on your conversations or situational needs.
  • Mormon culture is very friendly. Nevertheless, if you feel a conversation has become uncomfortable or unhelpful, politely move on to another conversation partner.
  • If someone makes you feel unsafe for any reason, take a picture of them with your phone, send it to the signal group, and avoid that person. And don't feel bad about it. 
  • We are a large team and will spread out over multiple ministry sites. We will determine a rally point and time each day in the event that we get separated involuntarily or in the case of an emergency.
  • Though unlikely, in the event of an extreme emergency, call 911.

You may bring one checked bag in addition to your carry on. The one checked bag is an extra cost which we have factored into your raised funds. Please do not bring more than one suitcase to go under the plane.

  • Clothes for 5 days
  • Exercise attire (optional)
  • Toiletries
  • Water Bottle (stay hydrated!)
  • Towel
  • Reliable, closed-toed walking shoes (not sandals, flip flops, or cowboy boots)
  • Pillow (optional)
  • Bible/quiet time materials
  • Personal spending money (optional)
  • Backpack or secure bag to carry your things in throughout each day
  • Games/Books for evening activities of your choice
  • Sunscreen
