228: Intelligence and Christianity

One of the fun parts about being a pastor is that when I meet somebody who then finds out what I do, I get a whole range of responses. Sometimes there's respect, sometimes there's fascination, and sometimes there's a smirk. A smirk that suggests, “Oh, you're one of those.” Gullible, backward, non-intellectual. And I love those encounters, because I love it when people underestimate me. Let's talk about intelligence and Christianity.
