Missions

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
- Matthew 9:37-38

What Are We About?

Missions is the heartbeat of Evergreen. Over the last 25 years, God has sent us to over 100 different places abroad armed with the Gospel. As disciples of Jesus, we are called to share the Gospel and to go and make disciples of all nations. We are a church on mission to share the love of Christ as we go, wherever we go both locally and internationally.
Do you have a passport? If not, consider whether you are fully making yourself available to live out God’s heart for the nations. Let’s pray for more workers and please reach out for a meeting to talk about missions!

Upcoming Trips

Guatemala – Casa Aleluya – Charity and light construction

May 30th- June 8th, 2025
(Trip open to 13+ years)
Casa Aleluya was started in 1989 by Mike and Dottie Clark with the sole purpose of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to the suffering children of Guatemala.  At any given time, this home cares for and raises as many as 400 orphaned, abused and mistreated children and young adults.
Over its history, Casa has been home to more than 6000 children.  Through the housing, feeding, and education of these children, they learn about the unconditional love many of them did not experience in their own homes.
Evergreen has been connected with this ministry since 2014 and has sent many teams over the years to pour into these children and the other needs.
This is a great beginner short term trip for anyone looking to see what missions abroad is all about!

Some of the ways we participate in ministry with Casa:
-Activities and extended time with the children while on mission.
-Construction/maintenance teams that support the needed updates at the compound.
- Food outreach and installing water filters in the local community.
-Child Sponsorships
-Long term missionary opportunities.

*Contact Jeremy or Amy White for more information and dates for the trip informational meetings.

Brazil – Evangelism and Leader Development

June 3rd – 14th, 2025
For 15+ years Evergreen has sent a small team of 5 or 6 to southern Brazil’s public schools to share our Hope with those who ask for the reason of why we go. God has multiplied this ministry over the last couple of years as we have begun to take a larger team to share the love of Christ in multiple locations. Our contacts on the ground in Brazil set the mission and relay how many missionaries are needed each year to complete the work at hand. This trip is fast paced and requires hearts that are ready to be available for whatever the Lord puts in front of us.

*If Brazil is on your heart or you want to know more please reach out to Justin McKenzie or Emilio Lartigue.*
