HAM Radio Ministry

What Are We About?

At Evergreen Church, the ham radio ministry combines training with community-building, offering individuals from all backgrounds the chance to learn, grow, and connect. We are active through regular get-togethers —including classes, "Sho-n-Tell" sessions, and communication nets—participants gain valuable skills while forging lasting relationships. Mentorship is central to the program, with experienced hams guiding newcomers as they work toward earning their licenses and advancing their skills. This ministry not only equips people with emergency communication tools but also creates a supportive, close-knit community that thrives on commitment, learning, and mutual care.

The Evergreen Training Center (ETC)

This is an open forum where any and all can come to see other equipment, discuss techniques and how to build, and have a fun time coming together. This happens the second Saturday of each month. For the exact dates, click below.

Classes

If you do not have a license, our innovative process helps you get your license in four-weeks or less. Promise. We ask nothing of your background or experience. We gather on a first Saturday morning for 2 hours. Come back in two weeks for another two hours. Then in two more weeks, come back to take and pass the exam. Click below for the schedule for the 2025 year.
